The site was redeveloped on a .Net CMS and transformed to improve the accessibility and visualisation of data. Key to the project’s success was improving the sites overall usability and effectiveness in reporting on the sustainability of Australian fish stocks.
Expandable Technology Stack
We conducted a thorough review of FRDC’s technical environment, existing data, digital and offline workflows and audience and internal stakeholder needs. The synthesis and reporting on this research paved the way forward for a technology stack that will cater for their existing needs but will be expandable and flexible to meet their future multi-site requirements.
Reduced Data Redundancy
A normalised SQL database for the underlying data storage has been delivered under a highly configurable and programmable CMS with excellent integration capabilities and is the optimal platform to manage CMS content while also retrieving data from FRDC Fish Data API.
The result was a stunning website which also paved the way for the digital future of the FRDC.
