The old website was outdated and didn’t reflect the organisation’s position as a world leader. The 3 garden sites – The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Mt. Annan and Mt. Tomah needed consistency in style. They wanted users to form an awareness of science, conservation, horticultural and educational activities, alongside events and catering to all potential audiences in some capacity. Social integration was also a priority.
The website revamp coincided with The Royal Botanic Garden’s 200th anniversary and they required a special event calendar, aligned with their 200th birthday campaign that would enable The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney to post all events related to the 200th year anniversary milestone.
We performed extensive research and personas to make sure that we understood the needs of the audience and their behaviours. The solution is a globally appealing responsive website, built in Kentico, with a content strategy that addresses the needs of all the major site personas. The site also makes use of the Kentico built-in marketing automation and personalisation to present the user a piece of content that adds value to their needs.
