Sunshine Coast Council’s old Web Content Management Systems (WCMS) and architecture could no longer deliver on the new trends and technology for customer engagement. Their vision was to provide a responsive search based digital first platform, one place for the community, business, agencies and staff to connect with SCC via contemporary channels. They also had several subsites managed by different business units that were inconsistent in branding and contributed to a disjointed user experience and high costs form maintaining multiple technology platforms.
Using Google Site Search for the search functionality addressed many of SCC’s requirements. Suggested results, the ability to index data from third party systems and a content type filter all help sort through Sunshine Coast Councils vast array of information.
Engaging online experience
Working closely with the Sunshine Coast Council ICT team, we redesigned the website to allow customers to transact with council via any device, showcase the beauty of the Sunshine Coast, and have consistent branding across all subsites.
